A New Eminem Album in 2007

One of the greatest and best selling rap artists ever, Eminem, is nearing the twilight of his career, it is around this time that musicians usually define careers. The question on all of our minds has to be, will this be his final album? Judging from the tease he gave us on Eminem Presents: The Re-Up, It's hard to tell. When listening to the last track on the Re-Up album, No Apologies, he raps "When I stop selling I'll quit so stop dwelling.".

With the death of his best friend, Proof, and yet another divorce from his wife, Kim, he seems to have plenty to get off his chest on this next album. Perhaps it could even his best album yet, but that remains to be seen, it won't be terribly difficult to top Encore, which many regard as good album but still the worst of his career. We could see an album that resembles The Marshall Mathers LP or the Eminem Show, or maybe even a mix of both. Eminem is also known for always changing his style with each album so he might come with a completely different sounding record then we have previously heard.

Dr. Dre, Eminem's producer, is putting out his final album Detox in September later this year, however the album has been pushed back and pushed back for years and it's safe to say it may even get pushed back again. That remains to be seen, but undoubtedly when Eminem puts out another album Dre will produce some of the tracks on it.

The currently untitled album has a November 2007 date for its release and D-12 is also releasing a new album called Natural Born Killers to be released in October 2007. We will most likely see tracks featuring the late Proof on the album, and also a dedication song that may or may not be released on the album. Eminem turns 35 on October 17th, so he will be 35 years old by the time his fifth solo album is released. It could very well be his last album, at any rate, September, October and November will see a huge resurgence of the Shady/Aftermath crew, perhaps for the last time.

Eminem single-handedly changed the rap game forever. He was the first great white rapper and sure there were white rappers before him but none of them will ever have the impact that Eminem has had on the game. Another white rapper in the game will forever be haunted with a line from the song Soldier on The Eminem Show when he rapped "You could never do it like I could do it don't even try it you'll look stupid do not pursue it.". If this is his last album and he decides to step away from the game, he leaves as one of the greatest rappers to ever hold a mic.
