A Excellent, Family-Friendly, Low Cost Barber Shop Located in One of Boston's Western Suburbs
I Finally Found a Family-friendly Barber Shop that Doesn't Cost Too Much!
There is plenty of parking in front of the shop and there are several parking places literally a few steps from their door. The shopping center where Warren's is located is clean, well lit, and in a safe area. Warren's Barber Shop has very few frills, just a few chairs in the waiting area and stations for two barbers. I like that lack of frills because it means I pay less; they only charge $11 for a haircut. They do have two extras you don't see in most barber shops: toys in the waiting area and child-friendly barber chairs that look like taxi cabs called "Warren's Taxi" (in addition to the regular barber chairs at each barber's station).
Whenever I walk into Warren's I feel welcomed without the staff becoming "overly friendly". Warren employs two part-time lady barbers who complement each other's schedule as well as substitute for Warren while he is away. It is obvious that the barbers have families of their own with much experience with their own children and grandchildren in addition to their experience in the barbershop. The are particularly adept at taking care of the needs of small children who might be a bit fearful of the haircut experience. The are also good at listening in order to give you the look you want for yourself (or your child) without unexpected results.
I like that as soon as I sit in the chair they immediately make you feel at ease with family-friendly conversation. The last time I was there it only took 10 minutes to get my haircut the way I wanted.
So if you live near Boston, give Warren's Barber Shop a try - I think you will be satisfied with the experience.
