A Fall from Grace

Flying! Around everyone I know that can not or have ever seen any human just take off. In person, right in front of them. Not in a plane or with any apparatus. "Peculiar Power." But they are not impressed. Even though they know. They can not do it, or have ever scene it.

I fly so high that I can almost reach outer space. But then? I begin to think about... "Them." Why were they not impressed, in awe or acknowledge me? That's when I begin to fall. Hard and fast. Only then. Do they "look up" and have something to say. Ridicule, finger pointing and laughing. Kinda reminds me of someone when he was told to "walk on the water."
Only, and only when he second guessed, did he begin to sink.

I hit the Earth.....Hard! But? No injuries, no bruises and no pain. I lay there..... For but a moment. Only when I get up and look up, do their sneers and taunts cease. I have herd many foolish people say, that. "If you fall and die in your dream, you die for real."
If that were true? How would you know? Who could tell you, if they fell and died in their dream???
