A Father's Day Tribute

Charles Willoughby
It is here I come on Father's Day

With still words unspoken yet to say

Words now mingled in a gentle breeze

Drifting skyward through sheltering trees

Words of love and how much I cared

Words in life I never dared

Does he hear that I admired him so?

Could he now unspoken words know?

And should he see from high above

I hope he knows of unspoken love

He was just a man, he was just my Dad

But, He was the best friend I ever had
