A Few Good Reasons to Hate TV/Radio Personality Glenn Beck
For those of you who don't know who he is, consider yourself lucky. He is conservative radio personality and host of a news/"comedy" ( notice the quotations) show. I first became aware of his existence when they stuck him in the middle of my Headline News. I have to point out that I may be the only 20 year old in the world who watches Headline News religiously. Anyways, he starts spewing some noise about how he hates Muslims or how much he hates 9/11 families. Yup. He hates 9/11 families. And hey...don't forget those Hurricane Katrina victims! They are black and poor. You have to hate that!

"...this is horrible to say, and I wonder if I'm alone in this -- you know it took me about a year to start hating the 9-11 victims' families? Took me about a year."
And this one!
"But the second thought I had when I saw these people and they had to shut down the Astrodome and lock it down, I thought: I didn't think I could hate victims faster than the 9-11 victims."
The ignorance doesn't stop there. He once said to Keith Ellison, the first Muslim ever to be elected to the United States Congressman, that he wanted him to "prove to me that you are not working with our enemies." Glenn Beck always says " Now it might just be me..." or " Nobody else will say this but...." and this is usually followed by some racist, bigotry filled comment or generalization. He honestly believes that he is the voice of America and he's only saying what people are thinking. Well he is speaking for a few inbred Americans who are burning crosses and wearing white hoods. I hate any television host who talks about the "real America". Glenn Beck acts as if he is just one of us. Yup...making a seven figure income and sucking off corporate sponsors is exactly what American's in the heartland do.
When he isn't being a racist, Glenn enjoys being not funny. He likes making stupid faces, stuttering, and doing bad impersonations of the French. This guy will do anything for a laugh. Most of his jokes fall on deaf ears as his guests sit dead panned while he cracks his 20th joke about how stupid the French are.
Glenn will really piss you off when he gets to his "Real Story" section. This is usually the point where he takes a current news story, adds nothing to it but a few bad jokes and wild accusations, and then claims he is revealing some deep, dark truth to his viewer. He uses stupid, trite catchphrases like "cut and run" and "I'm a conservative but I happen to not be a Republican." Get some hair on your balls and just admit you are a right wing tool!
After all this is said I still can't help but watch Glenn Beck. He is so ignorant and so irritating that I can't turn the station off. It reminds me of that seen from "Private Parts" where the heads of Howard Stern's radio station find out the people who hate Stern listen longer. Maybe I enjoy being pissed off. I don't really know why I keep coming back. I will give him this. He is not as bad as Nancy Grace. At least I could kick Glenn Beck's ass if I met him.

Post a CommentMy mother, a Glenn Beck fan has said and done things that I could never believe a loving christian should do. i do not just blame Glenn Beck bc everyone controls their actions but i feel like Beck does everything he can to spread fear and hate through America. I must applaud him bc he is an excellent brainwasher, and hes an excellent speaker. he gets people to believe him even when hes so outrageously wrong... he is an idiot and every person who will live their life and base opinions on his ideals and beliefs are just as stupid. mark my words. he will be one of the reasons America will lose order, and patriotism and we will fall, unless we change and find peace with our fellow man.if not we will truly fall to communists and other "spooky dudes." GLENN SHOULD GO!
I agree with the writer.He is constantly demeaning everyone's intelligence.Every time I watch the show I just can't understand why anyone would believe this stupidity he spouts.I personally don't like any of these news people they all lie to us just in different ways.The way he leads questions then acts like he is going to teach us something...gag me.There are no terrorists except for the ones in D.C. watch the power of nightmares.
Glenn Beck has the free right to say what he wants and I have the right not to listen to him...end of story.
Name one thing that Mr Hannity or Mr Beck has said that is hateful. Political discent is not hateful, a fact that democratic canidates made very clear when they were running against a republican majority. Progressive liberals often display hateful attitudes, such as when Rush Limbaugh donated a Christmass tree to his town, people on websites cursed him, described him using explitives, and suggested that the tree be shoved up his butt. Is that not hateful? Or am I a hateful conservitive for bringing this stuff up?
So, I think Glenn Beck is the author of this article. I know it! Just come clean, dude. If it's not Glenn and this isn't a joke article to get on his nerves (I'm sure it doesn't anyways you make him more famous) then this person needs to lead by example. You generalized that 20 year olds don't watch that Channel and you're pretty much the only one. Really? Lots do. I'm one. Glenn rocks.

Excellent article. I must admit I enjoy watching Glen Beck from time to time, if only to laugh at the chip on his shoulder. Perhaps he had a difficult childhood? It is concerning though, how someone with the views of Glen Beck is such a big hit in the USA. Probably a good insight into the decline of US society as a whole. Don't get me wrong I like the USA, and my country isn't perfect but really, your country is going down the tubes fast. Good luck!!

Also, you may think everyone else is as stupid as you, but we're not. Personally, I didn't need you to tell me that "comedy" is in quotations. I could see it quite clearly. And I'd have to say that a lot of what Glenn Beck says comes with a catch. Sometimes I might say "wow" in my head in an appalled expression at something he says, only to hear the rest of what comes with it and agree with it. I've seen what many people have done to quote him, and they conveniently leave out things that change the scenario completely...Or, they'll quote something he quoted, and say they were his words. I don't remember these quotes you've mentioned, but I'd like to see the entirety of what was said. Also, he's said that we shouldn't hate Muslims, or anyone who's innocent for that matter...
