A Fibromyalgia Experience: Two Years After Phen

PearlyWrites
Two years have passed since writing the original article, "Treating Fibromyalgia with Phentermine." A lot has changed in my personal life from moving across the country and building a full time business in less than a year to when I couldn't even get out bed!

When I originally took the Phen, it was due to being bed ridden for 5 months and not being able to move. The only reason why I chose to try it was so I wouldn't be "stuck." The Phen gave my body the boost it needed or the jump start to work properly.

Most of my weight loss occurred without the use of Phen. Throughout the year of being on Phen, I would only take a half a pill, maybe three times a week. The medication had such a strong impact on my body, some weeks I wouldn't take it at all.

My reoccurring issue is I don't eat. This is what causes my weight gain (I know it sounds weird.) Because I am not fueling my body with proper nutrients, my body goes into starvation mode and begins storing fat. What the Phen actually did help me with was to get on a normal eating schedule so my blood sugars aren't constantly rising and dropping drastically.

When we made our move to Arizona, life here was a big change. I was now the main financial supporter for my family and became obsessed with making sure we had enough money to pay the bills. Because I didn't have a real schedule, I stopped eating again. With not eating and continually exercising, the weight began to creep up and my joints began to hurt again. Knowing this could lead to another bed ridden episode, I immediately focused on my health.

Since all the life changes, my weight has bumped up (158) a little and I am finally back on an eating and walking schedule. The hardest part is the mental challenge. When you remember running 5 miles a day and now a 30 min walk is an accomplishment, it becomes quite frustrating. My advice, stay active but don't over push your body as it will let you know when you have done too much. Regularly eat small meals and snacks to keep your energy levels up and your blood sugars at bay, and be happy!

The most important thing in life is to enjoy your life by taking in every moment and experience and making them your own.

Thanks for the follow up. I just read your article of 2 years. I have tried so many things over the years-about to lose hope!
