A Poem of Love, Betrayal and Forgiveness
Thou art all too kind
When Thou stabbeth me
In mine heart
Thou hath kept me in mind
When thou hath revealed
Your bitter part
For those who strike at me from behind
Thou hath paid me a courtesy
By showing me Thine face
O, Sweet Betrayer in taking my trust
Thou hath shown me how blind I've been
In this moment of my disgrace
If this bitter deed be done out of Lust
I die now in happiness without regret
Of knowing thine fairest grace
O, Dearest One, from Thine tears I see
Thou still hath all of my love
As I bid Farewell to Thee
