A finch on a perch
In a tree
In a storm
Lost and tossed
As its mother mourns
He clings fast
To the tree
In the storm
Blinded by the rain
As his despairs take form
His loss is
Most endearing
Most tempering
Gone be his father
No more can he sing
So upon his shadow,
Does he sit
And weep
As goes the circle
Tonight he will not sleep
But few suns pass
As does the storm
And the rain
He sings of memories
To vanquish the pain
