A First Time Viewer's Look at Dancing with the Stars

Holly Pullen
For the first time this last season, I was talked into watching Dancing with the Stars. Let me say this I am not a person who knows anything about dancing and if I needed to keep rhythm to save my life I would be in trouble. I am not going to say who the best dancer was but what I thought about the completion reality show.

My first issue was the fact Jennifer Grey was a contestant. I thought this was for famous people who were not dancers. What movie was she famous for? That's right Dirty Dancing, which was all about dancing and romance. I have to assume then she has dance training and in my mind be an experienced dancer. She could have been one of the dancers that trained the others. As soon as I saw she was on there I figured she would win with high scores.

It was nice to a "regular" type person even though Bristol Palin is famous due to her mom but not involved in the Hollywood scene. Every week you did see her improve. Did that mean she belonged in the final three? No, but I must admit in some ways I was rooting for her. On the entertainment shows there were accusations of her mom's Tea Party keeping her in. I am sorry I do not think that was the case. Like I said, I do not think she belonged in the final three. I think what kept her on Dancing with the Stars was that people wanted someone that had a regular job go far.

Will I watch Dancing with the Stars again? That's a good question. I probably will if there is nothing else on. I may switch to it during commercials. I will not make an effort to see it like I did this time.
