A Forever Love - a Valentine's Day Poem

Violet Rose
Valentine's Day is great, I say,

Without love songs or cupid

To spoil the day.

Flowers and chocolates are not for me,

They never seem to last too long,

like all the men who set you free

With that same old song that it's all wrong.

Instead of a man on Valentine's Day

Spend time with the one who won't break your heart,

A forever love that will never stray -

A dog and a cat's love will never depart!

Great piece! You are right, my cat has already given me more love and attention today, than my husband, who, also aspires to the commercial holiday thing. That's why the kids and I traded amongst ourselves.
