A Form of Godliness

For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, without love for what is good, traitors, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to the form of religion but denying its power. Avoid these people!

The above scripture verse is what I base this article on. I write this article because of a disturbing piece of news I read on AOL.

The news states that in Los Angeles the Episcopal church has voted to accept a lesbian as a bishop. This is not only tragic, sinful but against God and what He teaches us in the scriptures.

Each day Satan continues to deceive millions in this country to either be complacent or to accept that which is evil as good. To tolerate or even accept such behavior as the norm is a sin against God.

Let us first bring up the issue of lesbianism. Lesbian is a female homosexual. According to God's word Homosexuality or unnatural affection is an abomination unto the Lord. This being the case, a church has no business allowing such type of people to be leaders of their churches. The scripture plainly states to avoid such people.

In the day of judgment churches such as this will receive swift and terrible judgment from Jesus against them. Far to long has believers stood by and allowed evil things to infiltrate this nation which like it or not was founded on bible principles. I am specifically referring to homosexuality or as it is called being gay. One is not born gay, One chooses to be gay and it is rebellion against God and those that practice and embrace this horrible sin will receive death in the end.

I know there are other sins and as far as God is concerned sin is sin. But what disturbs me is when a murderer commits murder, or a thief steals, or such sins as that, an outcry goes out against these people which it should, but when gay people say our rights are being violated, same sex marriage should be voted into law, and churches allow them as leaders in their churches nothing is said. What is wrong with picture?

I will tell you what is wrong. People take the Holy Bible and twist it to fit their sinful lifestyle instead of changing there lifestyle to fit what the scripture says is the proper way to live. Every thing you need to know about Godly living is in God's Holy Word. Tragically this country has strayed for christian principles while we believers have silently stood by and let them.

When one speaks out against such abomination, then the out cry goes out. They say it is hate speech, violation of rights. But when one puts down Christianity and the Godly virtues, nothing is said about that because people think that is ok and acceptable to do.

What? Do thieves, pedophiles, murderers and homosexuals have rights and law abiding Godly people have none? God forbid. It seems to be the trend that this country is headed toward a horrible path of destruction and will be under the wrath of GOD.

Wake up believers and take a stand against such filth and evil. I am not saying I hate people who do these things. We as believers are to love the people but hate their sins. We must remember though not to tolerate their behavior one moment or we too may end up being judged by God.

In conclusion, I know this is a controversial subject and will get a response from those who practice or tolerate such sinful practice. But I must tell the truth of what God has to say about these things in His Holy Word. Shame on you, Episcopal Church, and may you come to repentance of such a wicked act and receive mercy from the most High.
