The United States is full of poor people who never reach their full potential because they don't have enough money to ever do so. Some people never reach their full potential because they are just lazy even when they do have the resources to get a college education. College these days is very expensive. So if a poor person is unable to gain a scholarship, they get a low paying job with no ceiling because they have no degree. They then in turn have children that grow up poor and do the same thing their parents did. This starts a cycle of poverty that each generation has to go through. A free college education could help families stop their poverty cycle by helping them get a degree which then helps them have a high paying career which allows their children to also get in college which then in turn starts a cycle of wealth.
With a free college education, people won't have an excuse to not be what they want to be in life. Kids can grow up knowing that they can be whatever they want to be in life without money being in there way. For example, my mother grew up poor. From elementary to high school she made very good grades. However her mother could not afford to send her to school. I know for sure that she would have made a good doctor lawyer or whatever if she just had the chance. Dreams can be more realistic if I could change this.
The United States economy is not doing as well as it should be. The very wealthy are getting richer. The middle class is shrinking, and the poor are just getting poorer. This caused by a multitude of reasons but I believe one way to fix it is to make a college education free. When people graduate and earn degrees that they wouldn't have earned if they had to pay for college then it could lead to a multitude of things. I believe more jobs will be created because with the surplus of educated people, there will more business started. There will be more ideas created. With the surplus of educated people the middle class will get bigger and there would be very little poor people. With little poverty in the United States there would be little crime. This is the domino effect of a good education.
A higher level of education is very key and important to be successful. A free college education could help families stop their poverty cycle by helping them get a degree which then helps them have a high paying career which allows their children to also get in college which then in turn starts a cycle of wealth. If everyone in the world had a free education, this world would be a peaceful happy place to live.
