A Friend with Benefits

Melissa Lawson
What I had with Javier
was only sex--a "fling".
But I need someone I can talk to
about almost anything.
Someone who's both a friend and lover,
but knows it is not love.
A good friend who gives me "benefits"--
just sex is not enough.

Just a "friend with benefits"
is all I need, right now.
No strings attached, no commitments,
no taking any vows.
Just answer the questions on my mind;
tell me what you think I should do.
Should I seek another
or draw closer yet to you?

When I was as young as you, I had a great friend with benefits. We always had someone to talk to, to go places, to travel together, and yes, sex too. I hear ya!

I second Jesse, but confess some of Pikie's feelings as well. For me personally, Fw/B is a great concept but if I like a woman that much, sex only causes like to grow into more often times.

Hmmmm...great poem but I never did understand the "friend with benefits" thing. To me, you're either "with" me or not.

Very cool, um where to apply? lol Seriously, the hardest thing in the world is finding someone you are comfortable getting naked with and discussing your favorite philosopher all before ever having sex!
I found her, so I know it is possible...good luck and given your imagination (rowwr) I am sure any person would be a fool to NOT want a bit of friendship and fun with you!

    The age old question.
