A Ft. Collins Mortgage Broker Review

Mortgage Lender Matt Sprenger's Competence Second to None

B. Jax
As a former real estate appraiser, I have worked with dozens of lenders. An appraiser's direct client is the mortgage broker. Many of them can be somewhat unscrupulous. They'll get you into any loan they can as long as they get their money. Not Matt Sprenger; he is competent and straight-up with you. Based in Ft. Collins, Matt reviews all of your options, giving you a clear picture of the pros and cons of each loan type.

Matt Sprenger works for an outfit called Security Mortgage (970 229-0777). Because I did appraisals for him for several years I know that Sprenger handles loans throughout all of Northern Colorado (in fact, I believe he may now do them in most of the 50 states). I know his territory because I was the one out there inspecting the properties he was doing loans for. Being involved with the appraisal-side of Sprenger's mortgages, I always knew I was dealing with an honest, legitimate situation, unlike some lenders who couldn't care less about putting the borrower in a compromising position.

Whether it was a refi or a purchase, Sprenger's appraisal orders were always straight forward - which told me his deals were of the same nature. That is why - having the option of choosing from tons of mortgage broker clients I had - I called on Matt for my own personal mortgage needs. I knew he would find me the best product out there. Besides, already knowing how friendly, competent and easy to work with Matt is made it a no-brainer in picking a lender for my refinance.

One of the things I like most about Matt is his good attitude. Although I worked in the appraisal industry, I didn't always understand the fine details of refi deals we were considering. Not only was he more than willing to spell it out for me in layman's terms, he was available to do so at nearly anytime of any day. I called him late on a Saturday before a major holiday (no, I'm not that inconsiderate, I called his office phone and left a voice mail) thinking he would get back to me a few days later, after the holiday. Guess again. Before I knew it, my phone was ringing and Sprenger was answering all my questions.

Another great thing about using Sprenger as your mortgage broker - he's experienced enough to know what to do, yet he's young enough to not be stuck in his ways. The mortgage industry is always cranking out new products, some of them good and some of them bad. Matt knows these loan options inside out. Many of the older clients I worked with rarely even were aware of the several different loan programs that are available to borrowers. You may be in a unique financial situation and feel stuck, but there may be a loan out there that Sprenger can help you out with. Give him a call.
