Having a high school graduation party can be a lot of fun. It also does not have to break the bank either. There are lots of ways to have a great high school graduation party when you are being budget conscious. The following are some wonderful ideas for a fun high school graduation party that is budget friendly:

Invitations:

Evite at www.evite.com is a brilliant place to go to make and send computer invitations. If most people you are inviting to your high school graduation party are online, then with just a couple clicks of your mouse you can send invitations. You will also have a simple reply back list to check after. Plus, this site is free so it doesn't cost you a single penny. Another simple, inexpensive high school graduation party invitation is to take a regular piece of paper, and to make it look like a diploma. All you have to do is hand print or computer generate your invitation out on the white piece of paper. Then roll up that piece of paper, and tie it in the middle with a pretty ribbon. Now, you have an invitation that looks like a diploma, and it barely cost any money to make it.

Place:

There are several budget friendly places that you can hold your high school graduation party. If you belong to a church, you can usually rent out your church hall for very little money or even for free. A church hall is great because it usually already comes with lots of tables and chairs for seating for your guests. Another suggestion is to have it right at your home. If you need more seating at your home, you could ask your local church how much it would cost to rent their chairs. Church chairs are usually way cheaper to rent then party store chairs.

Decorations:

It is pretty easy and budget friendly to decorate for a high school graduation party. Break out your photo albums, and place pictures of you growing up around your party area. Use your cap that you graduated with as part of your centerpiece. Buy some streamers and banners that show your school colors, and put them up. You can also buy some inexpensive balloons with your school colors to liven up your party space too. You might be able to pick up some great high school decorations up at a dollar store like Dollar Tree, www.dollartree.com.

Food:

A really good party always has really good food. The best food to get for a high school graduation party is finger foods. Buy some inexpensive bags of chips. Buy pretzels, cheese doodles, potato chips, Doritos, and that sort of stuff. Make a veggie platter. Put out some crackers and cheese. Make your graduation cake instead of buying one. Make a cool kind of punch to serve to drink.

Activities:

If you are having your high school graduation party at a hall, you might have some fun with some music games. Get a cd player or your Mp3 player out. Make some room for a dance floor. Depending on how big your crowd is, you can have a dance contest, a limbo contest, or even do something as simple as playing "hot potato" from when you were a kid. If you are having your high school graduation party at your house there are lots of out door activities that you can do. Set up volleyball net in your backyard, and have some fun. Fill up some water balloons, and have water balloon contests. Make a time capsule with your friends, and bury it in your backyard. Just have a fun, relaxing time, and truly enjoy your high school graduation party. It is your time to shine.

Dollartree is a great source for party supplies. If you see something you like, buy it b/c it probably won't be there when you go back.
