Even though it's only been around for a short time, the game has took off like wild fire. The graphics are absolutely adorable. Those that would like more information about this cute game, will find most of your unanswered questions below.
HOW DO I GET STARTED?
First, you'll need an account with Facebook, and then you'll have to download the Fish World Application. You can locate the game by searching through the applications that facebook has to offer.
HOW MANY FISH TANKS AM I ABLE TO HAVE?
At this time, Fish World offers a total of 15 fish tanks that you are able to have. The first two are free, and then the remainder will cost 1,000 coins each.
WHAT'S THE FASTEST WAY TO LEVEL UP?
To level up fast, you will need to stay away from decorating your tank for now, and purchase only 4 hour fish (green snapper). If you have the spare time during the day, this would be the quickest way to advance in levels. I would suggest to purchase the 12 hour fish before you go to bed at night, in order for them to be ready after you wake. Just keep purchasing the fish that get to adulthood the fastest, and you will soon be advancing in levels rather quickly.
HOW DO I GET EXPERIENCE POINTS?
You can get experience points by buying fish, selling fish when they get to adulthood, and cleaning your tank. You also have the option to sell your fish before they get to adulthood, or you can wait and sell them all at one time after they reach adulthood.
HOW DO I GET MORE COINS?
You gain more coins by selling your fish, cleaning your tank, and also cleaning your neighbor's tanks as well.
HOW MANY FISH CAN I FIT IN ONE TANK?
I have actually fit 1,000 fish in a tank, but it's definitely not advisable. It slows down your computer, and sometimes will even lock up your browser to the point that you have to reboot your computer. I have found that 300 fish will fit comfortably in my tank. The only reason you would want to fit this many fish in your tank would be to level up in rank. Otherwise, you won't be able to see your decorations.
WILL THE FISH DIE?
Yes, the fish will die if you don't maintain your tank. They need to be sold once they reach adulthood. That's the goal of the game. I've had fish that have died once they reached adulthood, even after I kept them fed.
WHAT DO I DO WHEN MY FISH DIE?
There is two things you can do. You can either flush them, which wouldn't be the smart thing to do, because then you're going to lose all the coins that you could have gotten if you would have been able to sell them. The best thing to do is to ask one of your neighbors if they can revive them for you. They will receive 1 coin per fish that they revive. Once they are revived, then you can sell them.
HOW DO I GET MORE NEIGHBORS?
One thing about Fish World that the other social games don't offer on Facebook, is that when someone on your friend's list adds the Fish World application to their facebook page, it automatically inserts them as one of your neighbors. For your friends that don't have Fish World yet, you can click on the pop up menu that you'll see often on Fish World that will tell your friend's that you're looking for neighbors.
HOW LONG DO I HAVE BEFORE MY FISH REACH ADULTHOOD?
Fish World offers a variety of fish that will reach adulthood in many different amounts of time. They have 4 hour fish, 12 hour fish, 1 day fish, 1 1/2 day fish, 2, 3, and even 4 day fish.
CAN I PURCHASE ANY FISH I WANT FROM THE FIRST DAY I START PLAYING?
No, you have to level up to purchase different species of fish. When you click on the fish egg icon, it will give you a option to choose "Starter" fish, "Exotic" fish, and even "Halloween" fish.
HOW MANY BACKGROUNDS DO I GET FOR MY FISH TANKS?
There are several backgrounds to choose from. You have the original one which is your default, and then the remainder cost coins. Once you purchase a background, it can be used in any of your fish tanks. You don't have to purchase one per tank. For example, if you have 10 fish tanks, you can purchase 1 background, and it can be used in all 10 tanks if that's what you want.
IS THIS GAME ADDICTIVE?
Oh, definitely. ;)
The makers of this game keep you posted when problems occur. They don't live you hanging by a thread, wondering what's going on, like some of the other online games do. This is one of the things I like about this game. There is very close customer service between the makers and their customers that play the game. I recommend this game highly, and my entire family has been having a blast playing it.

Post a CommentI had wondered about this game. Thanks for the info. I think it ill be easier for me just to keep on taking care of my two freshwater tanks in the real world instead of trying to learn how to care for a virutal tank.
I've got a needy doggie right now. He makes it difficult to do anything but return comments (and even THATis difficult!)
I'm new to facebook and its games but am really enjoying this game, however, i'm finding that even though I have a feeding brick and sharks my fish are dying, it seems from the guides i've read that its because i'm not selling them once they reach adulthood, but the sharks are supposed to do that, if not i dont see why i get less then one hour from adult status to dead, i should get more time especially if i wanted days for them to grow, they should not die within such a short time of optimum sale growth, please fix this glitch or post what fish the sharks wont eat and give us a reasonable amount of time to sell them thanks!
