Dead to Rights: Retribution was created by developers at Volatile Games and was published by the popular brand Namco. Released with and ESRB rating of M for Mature due to it's violence nature and adult situations.
Dead to Rights: Retribution is a next generation sequel to the original Dead to Rights video game which was released in 2002. Similarities between the original Dead to Rights and Retribution include the main character Jack Slate along with his trusty K-9 partner named Shadow. Who looks a bit more like a crazed wold to me then a dog, which seems pretty appealing. In this game sequel, Jack is out for revenge.
Jack is a police officer in Grant City although I found that his character could have been more in depth and developed further. Typical cop story line who is following in his father's steps but never seems to measure up therefore making him slightly off turned and jaded.
Although this game was a decent action, shooter genre game, I slightly disliked it to the fact that it is based in third person. I prefer first person shooter games (FPS) but that is merely a point of personal preference.
Dead to Rights: Retribution is action packed and as far I as I could tell a typical bloody, gore filled mess of a game. With nothing that particularly set it aside for me I do not see it winning any awards like RPG games are more likely to have the potential.
Although, if you enjoy constant killing and an action packed easy to follow through third person shooter game, this is the game for you. The action itself is enough to keep you hooked through all 10 chapters of this video game.
Introducing new weapons along the way and with its varied options for killing such as rocket launchers, Gatling guns, more explosives and the option to send your dog in for the kill is by far the coolest aspect of the game.
You will find yourself doing different activities including the typical blowing up a helicopter and infiltrating enemy headquarters.
You can purchase Dead to Rights: Retribution the video game at Amazon.com for $56.99 which is discounted $3.00 from the original price of $59.99. It is currently in stock so if your looking to buy, now is the time.
