The Officer's Inn was constructed in 1904 at Fort Stevens as a home for Officers and their family's who were serving in the U.S. Army. The Officer's Inn has 8 guest rooms with private baths, and also a two-bedroom family suite for those who wish to give the entire family a break from the hustle and bustle of city life. Fireplaces, dining rooms, TV/DVD in room, wireless Internet, antiques throughout and even a playground close by are what await guests to the Officer's Inn. Breakfast is served every morning and dinner can be arranged prior to your stay for a minimal fee.
Our personal quote for room rates and services with a retired military discount and 2-guests, ranged from $95.00 - $125.00 and without discount the rates were $110.00 - $140.00 depending on the room and style we were seeking.
Guests may hear those rumors that the Officer's Inn is a haunted B&B, however, paranormal experts have not given a definite answer to this question. It is also rumored that Fort Steven's itself has a nighttime visitor in the form of a soldier who walks the grounds. Perhaps it is true, perhaps those soldiers and their families of those many years past still walk the grounds of the military installation they once called home. However, guests should not assume that by staying at the Officer's Inn B&B they would encounter the unknown.
Guests will however, find a peaceful, quiet, environment where they can feel the pressure of the times, and the pressures of everyday life melt away under the services of the Kim Nurding and their employees who serve guest at the Inn. Breakfast will be a good all-American home cooked breakfast, the peace and quiet of the day and night at the Officer's Inn will rejuvenate guests and prepare them for whatever the future may throw their way.
It is necessary to call for reservations they cannot be made through the Internet site. Call 1-503-791-2524 to make reservations. Be sure to call in advance as this year there will be several local activities that will fill the Inn to capacity early such as, the yearly crab festival, girlfriends weekend out, and many more local activities in the Astoria/Seaside area of the Oregon Beaches.
