A Ghost's Search for Peace

Unfinished Business

Sherri Granato

The American Heritage Dictionary defines a ghost as that of the spirit of a dead person, especially one believed to appear in bodily likeness to living persons or to haunt former habitats. The Paranormal Hunter's Guide has reviewed the facts related to ghosts and identified some possible reasons why they remain among the living.

Most ghosts do not even realize that they have passed; some have unfinished business, quite a few feel the need to say goodbye to a loved one, and a small percentage want to offer some sort of guidance to the living.

I would hate to become a ghost and end up stuck somewhere. It's one of life's, or rather, death's mysteries. Great job on this! :)

Interesting points but - Hey! What about the ones that just want to hang around and play practical jokes on the living? That's what I intend to do after I've eaten my last lobster. I can't wait to jump out of closets and push the mattress up from under the bed. I thought I might even start a union and head to Hollywood... I've had a few encounters with quasi-perceptual anomalies in my time and some had an impeccable sense of humor, really.
