A Glimpse Inside Casey Anthony's Mind

Torres
It's been widely reported how Casey Anthony, the 22 year old Florida mother who has been charged with the murder of two year old daughter Caylee Anthony, was seen living it up in bars and clubs, swinging on poles, and being a ham for the camera all the while her daughter Caylee was missing. Those images, forever etched in the mind of anyone remotely following the case, do not appear to show a mother who is grieving for her child. However, looks can be deceiving. So what was going through Casey Anthony's mind during the time her precious baby was missing and ultimately when the remains of her daughter were found, double bagged and discarded like trash in a wooded area just houses away from the family home?

Hundreds of pages of discovery documents released today by the state of Florida offer a glimpse into the thought process of Casey Anthony, who has maintained her innocence..and her silence, for the most part, throughout the accusations that she murdered two year old Caylee. One of the items seized in a second search of the Anthony home was Casey Anthony's diary. Kathi Belich of WFTV out of Orlando detailed one telling entry from the diary, dated June 21, 2008 - a mere five days after her daughter Caylee was last seen alive.

"This is the happiest I have been in a very long time," penned Casey Anthony. "I hope that my happiness will continue to grow." It is not clear as to why Casey Anthony was feeling such happiness during what most parents would describe as their worst nightmare. Casey Anthony went on to say, via the journal entry that she had "no regrets" and that she felt that she had "made the right decision", hoping that the "ends justified the means." Again, at this time, it is not clear to what Casey Anthony was alluding in her journal writings.

She ended by saying she wanted to know what the future holds for her and that she guessed she would soon see.

Casey Anthony's murder trial is reported to begin some time in March, but there may be delays in setting the trial into motion due to the defense filing for extensions that would allow them more time to review evidence and ultimately, a change of venue, as has previously been reported.

Under the U.S. Constitution, Casey Anthony is presumed innocent until proven guilty. However, in The Court of Popular Opinion, she's already been convicted.

Looks can be deceiving? How so?

How can you (the writer) make a statement like that and back it up with NOTHING?

IMO, this article is a waste of space.

Erm, no. It wasn't. On the page inside the cover, '03 was written in the top corner, but there was no year on the journal entry date itself.

    Diary was date 03'

    Once again, more irresponsible reporting
