A Good Day it Will Be

Darren Stansbury
My bones are telling me it's going to be a good day.

My head has merged with the universe like water, flowing along.

It feels like a kiss, and it sends a message to the sun,
Whose yellow rays cascade like rain on window panes upon the earth,
Soaking the ground, which sprouts dew-laden evergreen flora.

A man, a farmer, raises his arms in a prayer of thanks as he faces the golden sky.

"Glory be to the faithful," bellows the voice from the sky.

Then, a brass ensemble in the sky breaks into song.

Songs resembling soap bubbles blast from the many mesmerizing horns.

A blue hand descends from the sky and then extends a finger in invitation to the party above.

Yes, a good day it will be.
