A wide array of inputs is important for a television to make sure that all of your components can be hooked up to it. This Vizio does not disappoint in this department. Featuring one RF input, one HDMI input, two component video inputs, two composite video inputs, six audio line in inputs, one S-Video input, one RGB input, one serial input, and one audio out port, this television is capable of handling all types of video input. The television features both an analog standard definition tuner and a digital high definition tuner, a feature that many budget models do not have to save money on production costs.
The 720p native resolution is standard on all high budget definition television sets. This set also features that native resolution along with support 480i, 480p, 720p, and 1080i resolutions. The 800:1 contrast ratio is about average for a budget high definition set, while the twelve millisecond response rate is a little slow. The primary colors on this set are well defined and accurate. The color temperature is very accurate; however the color tracking was a little off depending on the screen brightness. The blacks on this set are not very deep; other budget sets offered deeper blacks. The set does a very sharp, clear picture. The overall quality of this set is impressive for a budget television.
The integrated speakers are rated for 20 watts of audio output. The sound is well defined and clear, and better than most entry level televisions. The bass on this set is rich and deep, comparable to some more expensive television sets. This set does have an audio output port, if you want to hook it up to a better sound system. The only weakness is that the television does not include any surround sound audio output ports.
With the budget price, and superior quality to the average budget television set, the Vizio L32HDTV is sure to please. This television is a good choice if you plan on viewing mostly high definition content with good ambient light. This television is a good candidate for the optional wall mount kits that are sold separately.
