A Great Free Resource for Learning HTML and MORE!

Amanda RM
My first project was a simple poll question, what is your favorite color, with radio buttons for the answers and a vote button which emails me the response. Another thing I am working on coding at the moment is an online craft order form in case people are interested in buying my needlepoint work. I will endeavor to complete a few more projects and then eventually start picking up PHP so that I can eventually create my game. This is still a long way off yet but I don't think it is as far as I had pictured before finding my HTML learning resource and seeing how much easier it actually is than what I thought.

You may be wondering where I am learning these things. There are a lot of resources out there and if you search for them, you will probably find them. Do not pay for it if you are asked to though. I am using a site called W3Schools, which has free learning resources and even a multiple choice quiz so that you can test your knowledge. The tutorial explains many aspects of HTML and is divided into sections for beginner and advanced, as well as divided into sections based on what is covered. There are explanations and examples for everything and on almost everything, except the textarea example, you can actually edit the example in the web page and see the results of your own coding. When you are ready, you can then pay to take the official exam and get an official certificate. They have exams for HTML, PHP/MySQL, and lots of other stuff. I am very impatient most of the time and never thought I'd be able to learn code but I am determined now more than ever to do this. If you want to check out the site, click here. You do not need to sign up or anything like that. Just visit the site whenever you want and use it for reference. I would recommend bookmarking it because it has been extremely handy for me. I hope that this resource helps you, no matter what you want to learn or how you plan to use it, whether for employment or personal uses. Have fun and enjoy learning HTML or whatever you wish to learn with this great resource!

I just bookmarked the site! I am a computer programmer, but I never learned html. I have my own dot com and it is horrible. LOL Maybe I can clean it up a bit if I take some of these classes. Thank you so much!!
