A Great Mothers Day Dessert: Loaded with Almonds, Coconut, Cool Whip Etc

A Very Simple, Easy and Wonderful Dish

Angel Vee
Need a really good dessert to make for Mothers Day or really any day? I have a great dish from my brother in-law. My brother in-law is the chef of the family and is always giving me different and unique dishes to make all the time, but this one really takes the cake. He asked me what dessert I was making for Mothers Day, but I told him I really wasn't sure yet on what my plans were. So he said why not make a simple dish that all can enjoy or even make it for your mom? Being that I love to try new dishes I asked him what this dish was called. He told me this dish was called sex in a pan. When I heard the name of this dessert I was floored. I couldn't believe the name was actually sex in a pan. Now my brother in-law has a really good sense of humor so I actually had to ask him if this was really the name or if he was just pulling my leg. He told me this was the name and it's a very simple, easy, and delicious dish that his mother use to make.

So now knowing this was for real I have to make this dish. It really does sound very good. So if you are interested in making sex in a pan here is my brother in-laws version from his mom. This dish will feed around 6-8 people he said. The ingredients you need for this are:

Chocolate syrup

1 Stick of butter or margarine

3/4 cups of flour

Couple handfuls of chopped almonds

Couple handfuls of chopped coconut

3/4 cups of sifted confectioners sugar

1 Package of Philadelphia cream cheese

Cool whip

Half cup of non-dairy whipped topping

Package of chocolate pudding mix (instant)

2 1/4 cups of milk

Fresh strawberry for the top

First you are gonna grab a bowl and soften your butter, but make sure it's not totally melted. Then you are gonna mix in your almonds and flour. Mix this up very well for about 3 minutes or so. Then place this mixture into a baking pan spread it evenly. Now bake this for about 20 minutes or so on 325. Once the time is up take out of oven and let it cool down. Then mix your confectioners sugar and cream-cheese in a bowl, fold in the whipped topping. Now spread this over the dessert. Then you are gonna take your pudding and milk mix or beat this for about 4 minutes or so. After that place this mixture on top of the dessert. Garnish with coconut, more almonds and place in the refrigerator. Let this chill for about a hour or so. Then take it out and drizzle chocolate syrup on top, more cool whip and a fresh strawberry if desired.

Mmm, sounds familiar, we make something like this but on top of a thin layer of brownie or chocolate cake and call it death by chocolate. Yummmm!!!
