A Guide to the Best Beauty Travel Tips for Women

Traveling anywhere can be a lot of fun, but quite hectic. Often we get so caught up in trying to get from point A to point B that we let our appearances go. With a few simple beauty tricks however, you can always look your best when traveling. Here is a guide to the best beauty travel tips for women.

Keep a Make-Up Bag Handy

This is a must for all women who travel. Keep a small pouch of basic cosmetics such as lipstick, powder, blush, and a mascara with you always. After a long car ride or plain trip, you will need a little freshening up, so always keep a small supply of cosmetics with you at all times.

Pull Your Hair Up

When traveling, you always want to look your best. However, it might not be the best time to style your hair into an elaborate, high-maintenance 'do. Opt for a simple ponytail when traveling. This is a quick and easy look, and will keep your hair out of your face and free of tangles while you are on the move. Also, make sure you pack a small travel hairbrush in your cosmetic bag just in case anything gets out of place.

Get a Manicure Beforehand

Trust me, you will feel like a million bucks if you set out for your destination with a new set of nails! You won't have to worry about hang nails, chipped polish, or whether or not your growing nails need to be filed when you have your nails professionally done just a few days beforehand. A manicure will make your hands look elegant and you won't have to worry about bringing extra tools for your nails.

Travel Lite

Sure, this is a good rule of thumb for anyone who travels, but all the hassle of packing bags and worrying about whether the airport will lose them (which actually happened to me on a recent excursion to New England) will cause added stress. Pack only one suitcase of moderate size, and put the rest of your items (cosmetic pouch, hairbrush, ipod, etc.) in your carry-on. Unless you are traveling to the wilds of Africa, you can rest assured that your destination will have stores, so if by chance you do forget to pack something, you can always find whatever you need at your destination. Stress causes wrinkles, so pack lite to avoid any travel stress and you will be fine!

Last but not least, carry along a good attitude and a boatload of patience, especially if you are traveling by plane. Airports these days have more lines, people, and stress than ever before, so always make sure to remain calm, cool, and poise at all times. A good attitude and elegant demeanor are the best beauty travel tips there are!
