This guide will help you in buying the best gift for a man, no matter who he is; keeping in mind, his interests, hobbies and what he likes.
Co-worker/Boss
1. If he is a family man, a nice picture frame for his desk to display family photos. Walmart has a wonderful selection of picture frames, and most are $10 of less.
2. A nice pen and pencil set. Walmart has some very nice pen and pencil sets for around $19.97, or if you want to spend a little bit more, try Office Depot or Staples. They have sets that are quite elegant for between $20 - $50.00.
3. Depending on his job, he might like a gift certificate from Office Depot or Staples.
Father
1. A pair of gloves to keep his hands warm in the winter. You can get these at Walmart for $10 - $20.00.
2. If he likes to fish, get him some tackle for his tackle box. You can pick up different types of tackle up at just about any hardware store, Walmart, K-Mart or Sears.
3. A gift certificate for the local car wash. If you would like for it to be an extra special gift, have the gift certificate be for a total auto detailing.
Son/Brother
1. Find out what type of tools they might need. My boys always need some sort of tool
2. A Visa Gift Card - some people think that gift cards are kind of impersonal, but all three of my boys think they are great. A Visa Gift card is accepted anyplace that accepts Visa Debit, and with this gift card, they can shop anywhere they see fit, to get just what they want.
3. A case of oil for their car - My boys all have young families, and unfortunately can't always afford to pay for an oil change; so they must do their own. You can pick a case of oil up at Walmart for less than $20.00.
Husband/Sweetheart
Gifts can be much more personal with a husband or sweetheart.
1. Do they like to work out? A membership to the local gym would be great. If he is uncomfortable about going by himself, then get a membership for yourself as well. That way you will be spending quality time together, and getting fit together.
2. A massage - I don't know of anybody that would not benefit from, or love getting a massage. It helps a person to relax, and it helps life's aches and pains.
3. If your husband or sweetheart has a hobby, buy something to help with that particular hobby. If they like to hunt I can't think of anything better than some fur-lined leather gloves, or pocket warmers. Hunters go out in the very early morning while it is still quite cold. They like having warm hands. Or, if cars are their hobby, set up a car maintenance kit for them, with car wax, a sham, sponge, tire black and de-greaser. The possibilities are endless.
With two brothers, a dad, a husband and three sons; I have found that men are quite easy to please, and to shop for. It's a lot of fun, Like I said earlier, the best Christmas gift for a man, is the one with his name on it.
