A Guide to Fine Dining in Los Angeles

Los Angeles, California

Jason Ward
As a resident of the great city of Los Angeles I can't help but appreciate some of the various restaurants that tickle my taste buds, a few in particular come to mind and this is a small guide for you so that you can also partake of this great city of mine's excellent cuisine.

Enjoy!!!

Water Grill

544 S Grand, Los Angeles, CA 90071

I am a big sucker for underwater creatures so you can imagine why I would include at least one fish restaurant on my list, but seriously folks this place is the bomb when it comes to seafood.

Quaint on the outside but very luxurious and fancy inside it is very warm and welcoming to all types of parties. Whether you want a private booth or to sit out in the open you can choose as they both have their distinct advantages.

As well as having almost any cooked seafood dish you can additionally visit the raw fish bar and treat yourself to a delicious slab of raw tuna or whatever you prefer.

They have a great drinks menu with a vast amount of options to choose from.

Water Grill does tend to be on the expensive side but personally it is worth it for their great food.

Check it out. Guaranteed Satisfaction...

Ciudad

445 S Figueroa St, Los Angeles, CA 90071

If you like Mexican food and other Latin specialties this is the place for you, not only is it in the center of downtown but it lively and had a great style to it. From 3p.m. to 7p.m. is happy hour so you do get more for your buck, although it's a cheap enough place anyhow.

I've had some rough time with the waiters after waiting for 15 minutes to be waited on once but over all it's not too bad.

So if that Latin blood is stirring one night, take a drive down to Ciudad and have yourself a Fiesta!!!

Yang Chow

819 N Broadway, Los Angeles, CA 90012-2309

I would recommend that if you want to eat in at this popular Chinese restaurant make a reservation before hand as this place gets packed like nobody's business.

They are famous for their amazing shrimp menus but to tell you the truth I dig everything on their menu, and would recommend it to any Chinese person or Chinese food lover.

When I want Chinese food this is the only place I come too... ITS THAT GOOD!!!

Café Pinot

700 W 5th St, Los Angeles, CA 90071

One of my favorites when I want really, really, really good food, this beautiful restaurant is a great place to do just about anything, whether it's to bring the whole family or to go out on a first date this place is the BOMB. French style food and awesome desert(Trust Me) are the primaries on the menu but getting into them would make my mouth water right here and now, so I'm just gonna tell you straight, "GET UP AND HEAD DOWN TO CAFÉ PINOT".

And on top of it all Kids under 12 eat absolutely free.
