A Guide to Great Mother's Day Brunches in Spokane, Washington
Neighborhood: Spokane and surrounding aread
Spokane, WA 99207
United States of America
The greatest thing about living in Spokane is the variety that we have. No matter what your budget or taste, you will be able to find something to suit your needs, and Mother's Day is no exception. Whether you want a formal champagne brunch or a more down-home, child-friendly feel, there is an option for you! Over the years, I have personally sampled the Mother's Day brunch at every location listed below and they are all wonderful.

The Davenport Hotel
Are you looking for the utmost in sophistication and pampering? The Davenport (www.thedavenporthotel.com) is definitely for you. With an elegantly appointed ballroom as the backdrop, champagne and brunch are served as an amazing buffet, described on their website as featuring "fresh-baked Davenport pastries and desserts, a lavish fresh seafood display with a variety of giant shrimp, crab, and smoked salmon, hand-carved meats featuring a rotation of prime rib, honey-cured ham, turkey, and pork, and a made-to-order omelette, crepe, and waffle station." Prices are $45 per adult and $18.50 for children aged 6-12. Brunch is served from 9:00am-2:00pm and reservations can be made by contacting Rose Swanson at (509)789-6808. This brunch, although expensive, offers an ambiance that is unparalleled and the food is superb.

Luna
Located on the South Hill, Luna (www.lunaspokane.com) is a wonderful place for brunch. From it's Tuscan look and feel to the variety of food offered, Luna gives brunch a relaxed and contemporary feel. From traditional brunch favorites, like Eggs Benedict, to delicious French toast made from fresh brioche dipped in cinnamon custard, the food at Luna is truly a dining experience, and will make any mother feel special and at ease. Prices vary and are affordable, but expect to spend about $20 per person. Located on the corner pf Perry and 57th, brunch is served from 9:00am -2:00pm, and reservations can be made by calling Rhonda Rey at (509)448-2383.

Cafe Marron
Located in Browne's Addition, Cafe Marron (www.lunaspokane.com/cafemarron) is the sister of Luna. While the food and atmosphere are very different, everything is just as delicious! With a distinctive French look and feel, Cafe Marron offers scrumptious favorites like Quiche Lorraine, toast made with Rosemary Date Bread, and grilled oatmeal, and every meal is presented beautifully. This is a great place to take the whole family, and children are very welcome. Cafe Marron is located at 144 S. Cannon Street in Browne's Addition, and brunch is served from 8am-3pm. Reservations can be made by calling (509)456-8660.

Frank's Diner
Voted Spokane's Best Breakfast for 11 years in a row, Frank's Diner (www.franksdiners.com) know a thing or two about breakfast and brunch. Located in an old, beautifully refurbished railroad box car, Frank's is a great place to take the entire family for a great Mother's Day brunch. This is the place for the classics, like steak and eggs and breakfast scrambles - and you get to see it all made right in front of you. Frank's has, without a doubt, the best hash browns I have ever tasted! No reservations are necessary, and Frank's is open for breakfast and brunch all day long. The downtown location is located at 1516 W. 2nd Avenue and the northside location is at 10929 N. Newport Highway. Both locations are open from 6:00am-8:00pm on Mother's Day.

Anthony's at Spokane Falls
Anthony's (http://www.anthonys.com/restaurants/info/spokane.html) is a wonderful seafood restaurant that outdoes itself with its amazing brunch. Served ala carte, these amazing dishes are each served with a fresh fruit plate and blueberry coffeecake. I recommend the Dungeness Crab Scramble and the Seafood Omelet. Expect to spend anywhere from $8-16 per dish. This is a great place to take the kids and has a wonderful view of Spokane Falls. Anthony's is located at 510 North Lincoln in Spokane and reservations can be made by calling (509)328-9009. Brunch is served from 10:00am-2:00pm.

No matter what your budget or Mother's Day vision, Spokane offers the perfect location for you!

I have never been to any of these restaurants although I have thought about going to Frank's Dinner. My mom likes Old Country Buffet, I think mainly because you have a variety of food to pick from. I took her to Outback Steak House one year and she enjoyed going there. One year we went to Clinkerdaggers which has a good view of the falls, but we thought the meal was very small for the price. We normally don't go for brunch.
