A Guide to Haunted Attractions in Greater Dayton Oh

Scare the yell out of yourself and friends with these horrific haunted activities in the Greater Dayton area. These activities are not typically recommended for young children or those who are faint at heart.

Just outside of Middletown, Ohio is Land of Illusion. The Middletown Haunted Trail, Killer Clowns, and Temple of Terror are featured in this wasteland of terror. Banshees and madmen await your arrival. Begins Sept. 8 through November 4. Call (513) 423-9960 for more information.

New Carlisle is home to Silver Lake Beach. Night Fright haunted trail now has professional effects. Horrifying trails and skits for a half mile. Open Friday and Saturdays Sept. 22 to Oct. 8. Hours of operation are 8 P.M. to midnight. Admission is only $10.

Bonnie Brook Country Farm Haunted Hay Ride or Corn Maze is near Centerville. The haunted hay ride has been declared to be one of the most professional scares in the area. Every Friday and Saturday evening. Sept. 22 through Oct. 28 kids of all ages can enjoy the hay ride or Crazed corn maze. Discount combo tickets are available.

The Haunted Cave is a unique location in Preble County. Take a look at the underground mining operation while being terrified. Admission is only $9 for adults and $5 for children. This below ground level location is perfect for uncooperative weather. No need to stay home any longer. The haunted cave has been completely redone for the 2006 season of Monsters versus the Hillbillies. The limestone mining hayride gives the guests a look at the miles of underground caverns. Perfect for children of all ages. This attraction is considered to be one of the best values available in the area.

Fire breathing semi trucks are found in the haunted hollow in Wilmington. . All your friends are talking about this one. Cut off buses take you through the trail from dusk until midnight. This event takes place from September 29 to October 28.

Springboro haunted hay ride and Black Bog, at Bull Run Farms, was rated by NBC 22 and Fox 45 Tour of Terror to be Grand Champion. Lebanon, Ohio welcomes this haunted horror from Sept. 29 to Oct. 28. This attraction is open from dusk until done. Combo tickets are available for both events.

The haunted Spook Coop is not for any chickens. This attraction is open Sept. 29 through Oct. 28 and is completely indoors. You will stay cozy and warm out of the weather, but you will experience bone chilling thrills inside this haunted building. The parking proceeds will be given to the Waynesville Police Explorers. Admission is only $10 and parking is $2. Open on Fridays and Saturday evenings.

Nightmare on Valley Street is near the Children's Medical Center in Dayton. Over twenty scenes in this display. $10 admission and free parking for this event. A portion of the proceeds will go to Choice, Inc. Call (937) 361-5999 for more information.
