There are several ways that you can go about applying for a medical internship program when you are an undergraduate. There are internship opportunities that are available from the college that you attend. Howard Hughes Medical Institute is a great place to look for undergraduate medical internships. They are a non-profit organization that does medical research and helps to educate others. They offer a variety of different internships in the United States and Puerto Rico. Post a CommentGood article. Students need to understand that "medical internships" are NOT same as shadowing doctors OR undergraduate science research internship. While medical internship may count as an undergraduate science research internship, that requires the internship to be more than just following doctors and doing the work-related to the hospital. The student would need to be actually conducting a research with a professor/faculty from medical school.
