November 6, 2010: The 20th Annual Sarasota Blues Festival is taking place at the Ed Smith Stadium Complex on Field 1 this year. The Gates will open at 11 a.m. for 10 amazing hours of live Blues, which will begin at 12 noon. The tickets are available for purchase at the following locations: Rossiter's Harley Davidson (Sarasota & Bradenton) and the Five O'Clock Club on Hillview St. in Sarasota for $20 in advance, $25 at the gate the day of the show. Children under 18 are free when accompanied by a paying adult. There is food, beer and refreshments available. Make sure to bring a lawn chair and have fun! November 6, 2010: It's the 9th Annual Ferraris at St. Armands Circle. The show runs from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. in Circle Park. Free. St. Armands Circle is just over the Ringling Bridge from downtown Sarasota.
November 6 - 7, 2010: The Venice Art Fest, originally began in the year 1987. This outdoor event will be held in the Historic Downtown Venice, on west Venice Avenue. With free admission for all, the Fest takes place from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. each day and features the works of over 150 artists. The weather in Sarasota and along the gulf coast is always incredible for the Venice Art Fest. Click here to learn more about this annual fest.
November 11, 2010:the Veteran's Day Parade is going to take place starting at 10 a.m. in downtown Sarasota. The parade is going to begin at the Main Street and Osprey Avenue intersection and will move along Main Street to the new Five Points roundabout where it will conclude with a ceremony about 11 a.m.
November 13, 2010:Family Day at the Park: Oscar Scherer State Park from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Free Park Entrance: Huge Yard Sale with recycling info. Also minimal cost from Noon to 4: Live Historical Music by Juniper, Bill Schustik, Turn Back Time. Also, Tram Rides, Kayak Demonstrations and food available at 1843 S Tamiami Trail, Osprey, FL. November 13 - 14, 2010 is the St. Armand's Circle Annual Art Festival around Circle Park. Admission is free, as is parking. Hours: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. Directions: From Sarasota, take Rt. 41 through the bay front/downtown area over John Ringling Bridge to St. Armand's Circle. Look for parking in the free public parking lots. Circle Park is right in the middle of St. Armands Circle.
November 27, 2010:The Venice, Florida Holiday Parade which traditionally takes place the Saturday evening after Thanksgiving. The Annual Parade steps off at 7 p.m. on the streets of Historic Downtown Venice. The Venice Holiday Parade will feature Santa Claus and over 100 floats and performers. Pre-parade entertainment begins at 5 p.m. in the Historic Downtown Venice area. The roads in the parade route close at 3 p.m.
