A Guide to Preparing Spicy Vegetable Soup

Mottor
Society tends to love spicy food. You can pick almost any dish off the top of your mind and find that there is a version of that dish that contains a lot of spices. This is because spices add a lot of flavor to any dish. One of my favorite spicey meals comes in the form of a soup called Spicy Vegetable Soup. You can wake up your taste buds with a hint of curry spices in this easy to prepare vegetable soup. Sometimes, I like to also serve this dish with Indian Bread. You can use any bread that you wish, but the Indian bread will go best with this soup.

Spicy Vegetable Soup:

Ingredients:
-1 tbsp sunflower or corn oil
-10 oz leeks, thinly sliced
-2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
-1/2 tsp grated fresh ginger root
-1/2 tsp ground cumin
-1/2 tsp ground coriander
-1/2 tsp ground turmeric
-5 cups vegetable bouillon
-1 lb tomatoes, finely diced
-2 zucchini, cut into batons
-Salt & ground black pepper
-3 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro, for garnish

Step One:

You will notice that in my ingredients that I have picked out the vegetables that I will teach you how to make the dish with. What I would like to let you know is that you can choose several other vegetables to go alone with this soup as well. All that you will have to do is increase the tsp amount of a lot of the ground seasoning that you use. However, you should leave the tomatoes and cilantro with the dish because they are key components to adding more flavor. As you can tell, there is a lot of freedom when it comes to making this dish.

Step Two:

Prepare the ingredients on a large cutting surface. You will then heat the sunflower or corn oil in a large pan. You should then add the sliced leeks, crushed garlic, and grated ginger to the pan. Cook the ingredients together, while stirring occasionally. The cooking time should last about 2 minutes before you move onto the next step.

Step Three:

Your mixture should continue to be stirred. You will need to next stir in the cumin, ground coriander, and turmeric. Repeat the same process as above and allow it to cook. The cooking process now should last only about 30 more seconds. Make sure that you do not brown or blacken any of the contents because you could lose a lot of your spicing flavor by doing so.

Step Four:

Start the next step by pouring in the bouillon and bringing everything to a boil. Cover the pan and simmer for about 5 more minutes. Stir in the tomatoes and zucchini. Cover the pan one more time and allow it to simmer for a further 3 minutes. You can now season your soup to taste with the salt and ground pepper. And you are now finished with your soup. Serve the soup hot with the fresh cilantro garnish. Prepare yourself a drink because it will be needed. Hopefully you enjoy your Spicy Vegetable Soup!
