There are many reasons to seriously consider the manufacturer of the scooter as an important part of the purchasing decision. It is much easier to deal with a well known, reliable company so any future problems or issues with your scooter can easily be resolved. Your scooter should last for at least several years, and you want to be able to have it easily serviced or repaired. If you have a scooter from a well known company, it will be easier to order parts. Even if your scooter model is no longer manufactured, larger companies will still have the parts available. There will also be more authorized repair centers available, so you won't have to worry about where you can have it repaired.
One of the largest and well-known manufacturers is Pride Mobility Products Corporation. They are the number one selling mobility scooter brand in the United States. They are very reliable and user friendly, with a number of easy-to-use features incorporated into their designs. Because of their popularity and durability however, they do tend to be one of the more expensive mobility scooter brands.
Rascal scooters are also very popular, with a variety of lightweight models to chose from. Rascal offers a line of convertible scooters, where, by changing over the front part of the scooter, you can convert the scooter from indoor to outdoor use, in a matter of moments. They also offer both indoor use and outdoor use only models.
Invacare scooters are a brand that is well-known for their durability and ruggedness over outdoor terrain. They have many models to chose from, and their newer designs and models are considered very good. If you are considering an outdoor scooter, Invacare scooters may be a good fit.
There are many other dependable scooter brands available. Some popular brands include: Pacesaver, Sunrise Medical, and Shoprider. By sticking with a well known mobility scooter company, you will have more support and assistance after you take your scooter home. You may want to do some initial comparisons with a retail store that offers a wide variety of mobility scooter brands. An experienced representative will be able to guide you toward the brands that offer the features and accessories that you need.

Post a CommentI have had 2 Shopriders...also a Gogo. By far Shoprider is the best. IMy big Shopridersunrunner is 14/15 years old and the only thing I've had to do is change batteries and tires. This scooter has never had anything go wrong with it and I ride it every day and ride it hard! My Cutie Shoprider is 16 years old and finally giving out.I took the cutie all over the world so she has been bumped around plenty.
The Gogo is okay...I got it for a backup ...itisn't as reliable as the other 2 have been!
