Located on the 100-acre Elderberry Pond Farm, the restaurant also serves as the showcase for the numerous fresh vegetables, salads, and fruits produced on the farm. They have a main seating area that seats approximately forty people, as well as a sunroom that seats twenty. If the weather is nice, the sun room also opens up onto a patio that can seat an additional sixteen people. Seating at the restaurant is available from Wednesday through Sunday from April to December. They are open only on Friday and Saturday during the month of March. Their menu uses both fresh produce from the farm and the highest quality meats and fresh fish. They are located at 3728 Center Street Road and can be reached via phone 315-252-6025.
Hollywood Restaurant
If Italian is more to your liking, try the Hollywood Restaurant, located just minutes away from the many hotels in Auburn, New York. This fine eating establishment was voted the area's best restaurant in 2006, 2007, and 2008, so you know that you're going to be getting the finest foods available. Prices range from $3.50 for Garlic Bread (one of many appetizers available,) to $23.95 for a 20 oz. New York Cut Sirloin Steak, so they have food items available for every budget. They also offer a number of fine wines to go with any meal. They are open every day but Tuesday. They can be located at 314 Clark Street and can be reached by phone at 315-252-9775.
Springside Inn
Located close to the beautiful Owasco Lake, the Springside Inn features not only traditional favorites (such as Shrimp Newburg and their famous cheese soufflé,) as well as a number of wines and locally grown produce. They have a number of different menus, including Surrey (featuring such dishes as Mediterranean Pasta,) as well as menus for banquets, guest rooms, and weddings. Their prices range in the $15-$20 range up and up for various entrees, so it's best to keep that in mind when planning your visit. They are open Wednesday through Sunday with varying hours, though they are always open for private parties. They can be found at 6141 West Lake Road and be reached via phone at 315-252-7247.
McMurphy's Authentic Irish Pub
Located inside the Holiday Inn/Fingerlakes, McMurphy's Authentic Irish Pub was recently voted the best Irish restaurant in the Syracuse and the Rochester area. They offer a variety of traditional Irish and American dishes, as well as a number of domestic and imported beers and a variety of special drinks. Irish dishes on offer include Paddy's Shepherd's Pie, Cousin Katie's Guinness Stew, as well as McMurphy's Pub Steak, while American meals include Steak and Shrimp, Smoked BBQ Ribs, and Baked Haddock. For those of a musical bent, the restaurant also features live entertainment. They are quite reasonably priced, and they can be found at 75 North Street. They can be reached by phone at 315-253-4531.
Balloons Restaurant
As one of Auburn's oldest dining establishments, Balloons Restaurant is an ideal place to gain not only a sense of history but also an excellent meal. They offer a variety of dishes in three separate categories: Appetizers and Sandwiches (featuring such items as East Utica Greens, Blackened Scallops, and Veal and Fried Bell Peppers,) Italian and Chicken Dishes (such as Baked Eggplant Cappellini and Stuffed Lasagna,) and Steaks and Seafood (such as Porterhouse New York Strip and Filet Warnoff.) They are open Tuesday through Thursday from 5-9 P.M. and Friday and Saturday from 5-10 P.M. They can be found at 67 Washington Street and can be reached by fine at 315-252-9761.
