Where to stay
San Diego LGBT pride is celebrated throughout the city, and there are many hotels to stay at. There are three areas that people stay at during San Diego LGBT Pride. These areas include Downtown San Diego, Hillcrest, and Hotel Circle. Downtown SD is about a 7 min. drive from the Pride festivities. Hotel Circle is about 10 min. drive from the festivities. If you can find a hotel in the Hillcrest area then you will be very close to the pride events. Hillcrest is where the SD LGBT Pride parade happens. Hotels around these areas are priced very decently but you want to reserve them soon because they get booked really quickly.
Travel
There are many ways to get and around SD. If you are flying it is best to book flights really early because they get filled quickly. Also if you book really you may be able to get a cheaper ticket. If you are driving to SD it will be easier to get around because you have a car. If you don't have a car there are other types of transportation to get around on. You can take the trolley, bus, bicycle cab, taxi, or feet.
The only thing that might be a problem if you drive during SD LGBT Pride is parking. If you did decide to drive during SD LGBT pride then I would suggest parking in one of the lots at Balboa Park, or in the zoo parking lot and walk from there. All of these parking lots are free. Also during the parade and festival there are Pride Shuttles available

Always stay in a group or with a friend
During SD LGBT Pride it is important to always stay with a group of friends. Never go off alone or with someone you don't know.
Keep Track of your things
Everyone is going to be partying and may not pay attention to their belongings. Make sure to keep your belongings close to you especially wallets and purses. You never know who may try to steal something especially if there are a lot of people there.
Have Safe Sex
There are going to be a lot of cute and beautiful people during SD LGBT Pride. If you are going to have sex during LGBT Pride then act safe and put on a condom, and for the women use a dental dam. Have no worry either because there are a lot of places you can get a condom.
Don't Drink and Drive
It's already hard to drive in SD when you're not drinking, and it is even hard to drive in SD during LGBT Pride. The best thing to do if you are going to Drink is take the MUNI or Bart, or you could also walk. If you walk however, make sure a friend is with you.
