10) The Firm (1993)
Based off of the novel by John Grisham and directed by Sydney Pollack, in The Firm Mitch McDeere (Tom Cruise) graduates from law school and enters the job market. He accepts an unbelievable offer from a law firm, then quickly learns why they pay so well. Mitch goes on the run from once he finally finds out The Firm's secret.

9) Risky Business (1983)
One of Tom Cruise's earliest roles, Risky Business is a funny movie. Directed by Paul Brickman, Joel Goodsen (Tom Cruise) is a teenager who meets Lana (Rebecca De Mornay) then embarks on an unusual business venture while his parents are away.

8) Top Gun (1986)
Directed by Tony Scott, in Top Gun Maverick (Tom Cruise) competes against other fighter pilots to be the top of the class. Top Gun is filled with a bunch of great flight scenes, and considered a classic Tom Cruise movie, which is why it makes this top 10 list.

Rain Man When Charlie Babbitt's (Tom Cruise) father passes away and leaves all his money to his autistic brother Raymond (Dustin Hoffman), the two end up taking a road trip. 5) Vanilla Sky (2001)
When playboy David Aames (Tom Cruise) celebrates his 33rd birthday, he quickly becomes infatuated with Sovia Serrano (Penelope Cruz), and accused of murdering his girlfriend Julie Gianni (Cameron Diaz). However he does not remember how anything happened. The truth to Vanilla sky will blow you away. Directed by Cameron Crowe.

4) The Last Samurai (2003)
Directed by Edward Zwick, The Last Samurai a fantastic film set in the 1870's about American Civil war Captain Nathan Algren who travels to Japan to help crush a rebellion of Samurai using firearms. Nathan Algren (Tom Cruise) becomes captured by Katsumoto (Ken Watanabe). He ends up learning the ways of a Samurai and their Bushido tradition and laws of honor.

3) Interview with the Vampire: the Vampire Chronicles (1994)
Based off of a novel and screenplay written by Anne Rice, Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles was directed Neil Jordan. In Interview with the Vampire, Lestat de Lioncourt (Tom Cruise) turns Louis de Pointe du Lac (Brad Pitt) into a vampire then becomes his teacher. Two hundred years later Louis visit's journalist Daniel Malloy (Christian Slater), then tells him about his life.

Tom Cruise does a fantastic role of bringing Lestat de Lioncourt's character to life right out of the pages of Anne Rice's novel. Although the film is seen through the eyes of Louis (Brad Pitt), Tom Cruise performs an unforgettable role as the villain Lestat, earning it's spot as number three on this top 10 Tom Cruise movie list.

2) Tropic Thunder (2008)
Directed by Ben Stiller, Tropic Thunder is a movie about a the filming of a Vietnam War movie, however the actors end up getting into an actual conflict with drug dealers who they believe to be other actors. In Tropic Thunder, Tom Cruise plays Les Grossman, a studio executive.

Although Tom Cruise is not a main character in Tropic Thunder, every scene he is in will have you laughing. Aside from having unbelievably funny lines that cannot be posted here due to offensive language, the most memorable scene is when Les Grossman (Tom Cruise) dances. Tropic Thunder is a hilarious movie that everyone should see at least once, if not twice.

1) Minority Report (2002)
Finishing up the top 10 Tom Cruise Movie list is Minority Report. Based on a short story written by Philip K. Dick and Directed by Steven Spielberg. In Minority Report Tom Cruise plays Chief John Anderton and is in charge of a "pre crime" unit that arrests people for crimes that they have yet to commit - yet were foreseen by pre-cogs. Minority Report quickly picks up its pace when John Anderton (Tom Cruise) sees a red ball with his name on it - naming him as a murderer in less than 36 hours.

Minority report is an action packed movie that will leave you on the edge of your seat as you watch it. Minority Report is a must see movie, even for those who do not like Tom Cruise.
