The Indigo Girls perform tonight at the annual Kerrville, Texas Folk Festival being held through June 13. Since 1972, people have come out to enjoy the longest running event of its type in North America, according to gotexas.about.com. Taking place on Quiet Valley Ranch 50 acres nine miles south of the town on Highway 16, it lasts 18 days.

Over in Lewisville, TX the Sounds of Lewisville Summer Concert Series kicks off June 1 and goes through July 6 with dates of June 8, 15, 22, 29 only. Showcasing Big Band, Blues, Cajun, Christian, Folk, Jazz, Latin Pop, and R & B among others, this event has something for everyone's musical tastes.
