Go to the theatre - Check out the theatre guide online or if you are staying at a hotel in London, then make sure you get a leaflet from the receptionist to find out what is on at present. for some performances you will need to book in advance if you want good seats. Theatres in London are based in Convent Garden, Victoria, Leicester Square and Piccadilly Circus.
Visit museums - There is the London Museum, History Museum or the Science Museum to visit in London. They are all interesting places to visit. If you want to see something even more interesting then go to Madame Tussauds or the London Dungeons. Madame Tussauds is a popular place to visit with tourists where you will see wax works of famous people. The London Dungeons are very thrilling and frightening, so do not take small children.
Go clubbing - There are a few nightclubs in London for that special night out if you like dancing. There is the Ministry of Sound that attracts thousands of people each week. Fabric is another nightclub that is very popular that has a great dance floor vibe. Egg is another club that has 3 floors with a garden area that is popular for smokers. It, also, serves breakfast on Sunday mornings starting at 5 am.
The Tower of London - You can visit the Tower of London for the day. Entrance costs £18.70 per adult and £10.45 per child. There is lots of history at this castle and it is an enjoyable day out for the family.
Go Shopping in Oxford Street - Shopping in Oxford Street is a lovely experience if you have never been to London before. There are many high fashion named shops to explore here.
Visit the Art Gallery - There are a few art galleries to visit in London. There is the National Gallery in Trafalgar Square, the National Portrait Gallery showing art of famous British women and men, the Tate Modern, the Tate Britain and the Serpentine Gallery. If you love art then these places will be great fun to visit.
London Fashion Show - Visit the London Fashion Week show, which has already started on 18th February 2011. There is, also, the Clothes Show due to start at Earls Court on 24th June 2011. Go to the Events website for more details on fashion shows on in London.
Hyde Park - Visit Hyde Park for a walk or take a picnic there. Sometimes there are events going on in Hyde Park on the weekends, such as, festivals. It is a great place to visit in the summer, as there is an outdoor swimming pool that charges a small entrance fee for adults and children or you can pay for a family ticket.
Buckingham Palace - Take a walk down to Buckingham Palace to see the changing of the guard, which is free. You can even buy a ticket to a tour inside the Palace visiting the State rooms for £17 per adult. To visit the Queen's Gallery it is £8.75 per adult.

Post a CommentThere is so much to see and do in London, that there is never enough time to see it all! You mentioned some of the best highlights. The Tower of London has to be one of my favourites, along with taking in a show in the West End.
