What to See and Do in Marbella
Here are a few popular places to visit if you are intending to make a trip to Marbella.
Puerto Banus - This is a spot where wealthy people might hang out, so expect to see someone famous here. Puerto Banus is an area where the rich can be seen. There are fabulous restaurants here too. The port of Puerto Banus has some amazing looking yachts that belong to some of the most famous rich people. Prices in restaurants and clubs are therefore a lot higher here.
Dolphin trips - There are dolphin cruise trips from Marbella that are very popular for tourists. Dolphin watching is an interesting trip to take if you are going to visit Marbella. There are a few cruises that do this in Marbella. These can be booked with a tour Representative once in Marbella.
Day trip to Tangiers, Morocco - Tourists can take a day trip to Tangiers in Morocco from the Costa del Sol. It takes about 45 minutes to get to Tangiers and passports are needed to access Morocco. You can book these trips with a holiday Representative from your hotel in Marbella.
Sphering in Marbella - Sphering is where two people get inside a 12 feet ball and roll down a hill at a speed of 25 miles per hour. You can either be strapped into the ball, which is called harness sphering or you can do aqua sphering where you can be free inside the ball without being strapped and roll around in 50 liters of water. It is a great experience, with a great thrill to it. It is definitely not for those who would not get a thrill out of it. It costs around 30 euro per person to do in Marbella and is open every day.
Aqua Skipping in Marbella - This can be done at Istan Lake in Marbella. Aqua skipping is like walking on water. You have to bounce on a "human powered hydrofoil" to get across the lake. You can do a two hour aqua skipping at Istan Lake along with other water activities, such as, kayaking. Istan Lake is a manmade lake area that has breath taking panoramic views of the mountains surrounding it. It is a great way to spend the day if in Marbella.
The Nightlife in Marbella - Nightlife in Marbella can go on all night long. There are some fantastic nightclubs and bars. It is, also, famous for its classy venues in Puerto Banus and on the Golden Mile. Visitors can party all night long, as there is no shortage of late night bars, clubs and restaurants to keep everyone entertained. There is the Olivia Valere, a nightclub disco located on the Istan road near the Marbella Mosque and the Mango's Tropical Café, a nightclub in Marbella that offers late night dance parties with glamour. There is the Loft, which is located on Golden Mile between Marbella and Puerto Banus and is a club for lovers of R&B, funky house music. They usually have regular salsa nights and live bands during the summer months too.
So, if you want a vacation this year, then visit Marbella for a glamorous get away!

Great article. My grandfather was from Spain.
