Nathan Drake: Nate really doesn't need an introduction. After all, he's the star of the game and has already built up credibility in round one (Uncharted: Drake's Fortune). But to jog your memory, Drake is an adventure/fortune seeker, a descendant of explorer Francis Drake and, for the record, not the best judge of character. But he's got mad skills when tough times require him to launch across rooftops, take sniper shots at mercenaries and sniff out treasure buried deep in some forsaken land.
Elena Fisher: If you thought Elena Fisher was just an annoying reporter in the first Uncharted, you were probably right. But she honed her skills in between the two games and made a pretty good comeback. She's now more helpful than ever when battling Guardians and finding ways out of tough spots, and she gets along with Chloe better than you might expect. Not bad for "last year's model." You can always trust Elena.
Chloe Frazer: Chloe's a slippery one. We learn that she and Nate used to have a thing going on between them, but they've since parted ways. Chloe still likes him, but she'll leave him in harm's way if it means she gets closer to the treasure. You can't always trust Chloe, especially not when she's turning you over to Lazarevic's men.
Victor Sullivan: Victor Sullivan, affectionately known as Sully, brings his womanizing antics and his slightly-off shooting skills from Uncharted 1 back to the table for round two. You can always trust him, but he seems to do a disappearing act whenever you need him the most. He will pick up a .44 from time to time and take out some bad guys, which makes him worth keeping around.
Harry Flynn: This Aussie scoundrel can't be trusted. Sure, he uses his old charm and "cred" that he used to have when he and Nate teamed up for adventures, but he only looks out for Number One - and he's not so hot at doing that, even. He'll make Nate do most of the work - and part of the time, he'll have a gun to his back when he's doing it.
Zoran Lazarevic: Lazarevic is one of the nastiest, war-hardened villains you can ever hope to meet. With a nasty scar and a menacing Eastern Bloc accent, you don' want to cross this guy the wrong way. Nate will end up in a fight with him at the very end, when Lazarevic has obtained Guardian powers.
Karl Schafer: Schafer used to be a treasure-hunter himself before age hit him. He tells Nate where to find the secret to the Cintimanti Stone in the snowy mountains of Mongolia. You can trust him, but he won't be around for long, as Lazarevic kidnaps him and puts him on the fast-track to death.
Tenzin: You won't understand a word out of this guy's mouth, but your Mongolian friend here nurses Nate back to health and leads him - albeit at a painfully slow pace - through the Mongolian mountains on the treasure hunt. He also helps keep the Guardians at bay, which you'll appreciate.
Jeff: Jeff is Elena's cameramen. He's pretty much a good-for-nothing, especially after he gets shot and Nate has to physically drag him through the war-torn village while shooting at bad guys. And all for naught, too, as Jeff will die soon thereafter.
