Bundle up and hop in the car with your best friends or favorite family members for a night out to celebrate the Christmas holiday in Gloucester County, NJ. What else do you need? Your favorite Christmas music in the CD player, a thermos of hot chocolate to share, and your best homemade cookies. (Ok, they can be store bought if you don't have the time!) With so much to do in your own neck of the woods, there is no need to drive through all the traffic to enjoy the holidays in Philadelphia. Stay right here for an entire day of fun. Are you ready? Here's your itinerary for the day:

Holiday Shopping in Mullica Hill
Have tea at high noon at Amelia's Tea Room and Holly shop. The front part of the tea room has Christmas decorations to peruse while waiting for your tea and mini-sandwiches. Then, spend the early afternoon strolling the main street in Mullica Hill, NJ, and enjoy the beautiful Christmas decorations and almost 20 historical homes and businesses dressed up for the holidays. The shop-lined street offers shopping for all your Christmas needs. There are antique shops, a doll shop, jewelry, household goods, a Christian bookstore, and so much more. If you get a hankering for a sweet, visit one of two coffee shops for coffee and a fresh baked good.

Dinner
Once you are all shopped out, head for dinner at Toscana Grill in Mullica Hill Plaza, in Mullica Hill, NJ. They feature fresh brick oven pizza, steaks, pastas and local wine or BYOB.

Enjoy a little culture
Rowan University, at the heart of Glassboro, NJ, performs a wide variety of holiday events from theater, to music, and art exhibits. Enjoy the holiday through the eyes of an artists, during an evening performance at the University. Check their website for dates and times.

Christmas sparkle
By now you've had a long day, but it's still not over. Now that the sun has gone down, pop that Christmas CD in the CD player, stop by Starbuck's, Dunkin' Donuts, or any of your other favorite places for a white hot chocolate. Break out the cookies and cruise the local streets admiring how the locals have decorated their houses. If you have time, stop by the Grove in Pitman, NJ, to not only see house lights, but a walk-through display of old animated figures from Philadelphia department store windows of the past.

Merry Christmas!
