Sedaris spoke with Associated Content recently, and gave us a few sneak-peek pointers....

Associated Content: How are you? What are you up to these days?
Amy Sedaris: Right now I am working on 2 episodes of one of my favorite t.v show The Closer. It's a dream come true, I just love everything Kera Segwick does...

AC: How much do you love Fall?
AS: Fall is my favorite season-I love that my oven can be on all day. I love ironing leaves between 2 pieces of wax paper and I love the word Harvest. And I like that it gets darker earlier.

AC: What are you going to be for Halloween?
AS: I don't dress up and I don't get trick or treater's - but I will decorate a little. I'll carve a pumpkin, make a pie and watch a scary movie.

AC; Well, I get Trick or Treaters...What candy should I give out?
AS: No nickels...No fruit...No inviting them in for pie....Buy candy that is not on sale...No cheap stuff! Kids want the real deal!

AC: What do you love about Philly?
AS: I like The Mutter Museum. I also just love walking around and exploring. Philly has a nice feel to it and I like all the independent shops.

AC: Let's talk about your book, I Like You: Hospitality Under the Influence. What influence do you refer to?
AS: Being influenced by my mother and girl scouts and Junior achievements and all the cookbooks from that period.

AC: My good friend is a non-alcohol, drug-free, vegan. I have to go to his Holiday party...Any advice?
AS: Eat before showing up-or just don't show up...[laughs] Good times!!_

AC: One more bit of advice...What would a perfect host do if an uninvited guest, and hated enemy, showed up at their dinner party?

AS: I'd say, "I'm sorry but I asked that my guests be nude for tonights events so if you don't mind removing your clothes - Come right in!"
