A Job Interview

I was looking for a part time job and I saw an ad at a popular site for ads. The ad caught my attention due to its hours and location. It was a 10-minute drive away from my house.
The ad was for an office assistant and it did not contain a detailed description about the position. Yet, I was still interested in applying for this company.

I sent my resume and an email introducing myself. Two to three weeks later, I received an email regarding an interview opportunity on a Saturday afternoon.

Again, I neglected the bizarre attitude and an old advice from a friend. "Don't ever go straight to an interview, you must call first to get a feeling and ask precise questions. So you won't waste your time."
The advice was especially regarding small offices where one could have an opportunity to talk to the owner or manager of the place.

Finally, the interview day came, and the interviewers were late.
The office contained a desk and one chair.
The interviewer had a very aggressive tone, a bad and poor attitude.
One of the surreal questions was about my religion and nothing related to my resume and skills.

Probably, I had a big question mark on my forehead and eyes wide open in shock.
The interview proceeded in disrespecting me even more with inappropriate questions. They were making up questions as the time went on.
I kept wondering if he was going to ask me what's the total of two plus two and so forth.
It was an absurd! There were no questions about my resume at all.
Obviously, they did not read my resume.

At one point, I thought I was in a new reality TV show.
During the interview, I thought to myself "any minute Ashton is going to walk and open this door and say you got punked." At the same time I said to myself, "wait, I'm not famous; Oh, it may be the Sci-Fi show with Tracy Morgan people experience awkward situations."

Finally, the interview was over. I was polite and we would keep in touch. I was petrified!

When I got at home, people asked me "Did you get the job? This was a three-hour long interview!"
I was still in shock and I got even more surprised for the interview's duration. I had a sense I was there for a long time but I could not tell.

It was a vision of a successful company in an almost empty room closed windows, dust, heat and no fresh air.
I had some peculiar or casual interviews in the past but I never experienced anything alike.

Please, call ask questions if the website does not provide the name in detail of the owners.
Due to the recession, it is a time that people are going to encounter many dishonest people and obscure companies.
