A New Journey

John Smither
Here, I am fortunate, for I live by the coast

For some that could be reason enough to boast

But I know I need some place warmer, a far flung outpost

Somewhere far from here, far from my Sunday roast

But still start my day with my beans on toast

A new journey starts first and foremost

With what we leave behind, what will we miss the most?

As we arrive at a new junction, follow the signpost

Left or right, whichever is uppermost?

In the past I have not always been the best of host

In fact with my constant comings and goings, many may think I was nothing more than a ghost!

Beans on toast actually sounds great to me. I'll have to try it. "Sunday roast makes me think of the movie "Time Bandits". [Everything comes down to movies with Allene and me.] Is it the "sunday joint" or the kid's parents who turn into the essence or pure evil?
