I have taken a journey aloft; have spanned chasms
and abysses I never realized existed;
what's more, I have filled them.
I have learned through growth of spirit
the value of my own self-worth;
even greater, I have accepted it.
and abysses I never realized existed;
what's more, I have filled them.
I have learned through growth of spirit
the value of my own self-worth;
even greater, I have accepted it.
Eagles soar aloft, not to look down upon;
rather, to be high above;
to raise wings of strength and wisdom to a sunlit sky
that lights the darkest corner of the catacomb
in which I faced my ongoing struggle.
Now I have earned the wings to fly
with eagles who already soar.
It has been a journey from the inside out,
not without pain, not without triumph.
Although I may have taken the journey aloft,
I did not take it alone.
