At last, the sky is blue
And the sun is coming through.
I can see my reflection in a stream
A hope for my dreams.
Finally, there is strength within
For a journey to win.
It may take millions of miles
But the voyage is going to worth my while.
So I say my goodbyes
To those that pray I die.

Post a CommentGreat work! I agree with A.M. Pushing forward regardless of what others may say or do is so important. :-)
Wonderful poem. The journey to winning is a beautiful one. Your last statement is true some would rather see you perish than win. I have learned that I have to let my light shine regardless of those who are bothered or uncomfortable about it. Keep on writing and pursuing your dreams against all odds.
Fabulous!
You are a very talented poet !!...this is totally awsome work !!!!!!!!!!!
The last statement maybe a little bit too harsh, but it is the truth.
