A July Sunday at the Tavern

The tavern is quiet
this gloomy Sunday night
on the once and now
famous Bourbon Street.

The tables cleaned and empty
the anticipation
of coming events

However, at the brink
of dusk
the buildings
begin to illuminate,
the liquor really begins
to pour,
and
a whole new
world
