A KEY Poem

i searched the car several times over

i tried to hide beneath the cover

but life demands keys, many kinds of them:

after ten days, I could say Amen!

The keys to my stoarge unit, and my house

Left behind after the 21 June class

I borrowed the set owned by my daughter

and for days I could muster no smile or laughter

Of course I prayed; day after day ... though frustrated

I was grateful the car keys were separated

Before the June class; I had just one small pocket

And the rest ... rested until today he called to say, "I got it!"

I lost my home keys and managed with some inconvenience

I clung to my keyring linking prayer, hope, and perserverance

Two days ago, I left another message for pastor ...

Today, this holiday, I smile with relief ... at masterly hunor
