Many people are afraid to take children that small out to a regular restaurant. They're afraid the kids will scream and annoy staff and other diners, the kids won't eat their food, the kids will get bored, etc. But I've taken my little girls, who are 5 years old and 18 months old, to Red Robin several times now. Each time has been great!

Today, we went to the Red Robin Restaurant in Stratford Square Mall.

All of the staff members were very friendly to us. They smiled, and noticed the kids and talked to them. Friendly waiters and waitresses can turn a child's dining experience into a memorable one, because most kids are excited to have the attention of someone who works in the restaurant! The waiters and waitresses were very attentive. At one point, a waitress noticed me trying to shake ketchup from a nearly-empty bottle, and hurried to bring me a fresh bottle. Another waitress put a fresh glass of soda on the table just as I was finishing my first one! They stopped at the table to check on us, exchanged small-talk with the kids, and were, in all ways, very friendly.

The food was great too! My burger was delicious. But more importantly, the kids enjoyed their food! Red Robin has a great kid's menu, with a variety of foods including corn dogs, spaghetti, grilled cheese, pizza, buttered noodles, chicken strips, and hamburgers. Kids also get a choice of side orders. They're not limited to French fries, but can choose oranges, apple slices, carrots and ranch, or other options. My 18-month-old finished her entire corn dog and all of her oranges! And the 5-year-old loved her chicken strips and French fries!

The entire restaurant was very clean, the food was great, and the staff was wonderful. The prices are also affordable... the bill for one adult meal and two kids' meals came to just over $20.00. Not bad at all! The kids even got to keep their plastic cups from their meal, and were handed balloons on their way out! This is definitely someplace I'll be going back to in the near future!
