No one likes a whiner. If you're having that bad of a day. It's best to cancel the entire date. If you're the type of person that just complains a lot, you need to work on that. Whining or complaining is a big turnoff to most men.
"Don't ever call me again during CSI Miami"
If you say that about your favorite TV show, your date is likely to think that you're a TV junkie and that will indicate that you are not available on Monday nights (or whatever night your show is on). I admit that TV shows can get addicting but seriously, it's nothing that you can't catch up on when you're on the Internet. Just go to the network's website and you can usually look at all the older episodes.
"Oh my GOD, you drive like my great grandmother!"
Even if you are a bit of a lead foot. Don't get on the guy's back for watching out for your safety. Patience is a virtue.
"I'm thinking of moving to Orlando"
If you do that, one of two things are likely to happen. The most likely thing is that he'll think to himself, "Why get to know her? She's just going to be moving away". OR, he may say, "Well if this thing works out, I'll move out to Orlando too". Do you really want that? Even if you are thinking of moving away, don't let on to that right away.
"My biological clock is ticking"
This is one of those statements where you likely think that I'm exaggerating. I mean, what woman would actually SAY something like that on the first or second date? But you'd be surprised. I had a woman say that to me once. I was thirty five and she was thirty two years old. My immediate thought was, "What the hell? I do NOT want to raising a child into my fifties."
"I'm the last one of my siblings who's not married yet and my parents are starting to hazel me"
Most guys do NOT want to date a woman who particularly looking for a husband. It's way to serious and way to soon to say something like that. Just calm down and let him get to know you first. If after two years, you're still together and he hasn't proposed, you will have EARNED the right to make that statement.
"I can't order the pasta. Do you know how fattening pasta is??"
That statement will tell you date that you are going to be a pain the rear to take out to dinner. For now, keep the vocal calorie counting out of the conversation.
"You are the oldest person I've ever dated"
Whoa. Did you really say that? Although we don't show it often, men are just as sensitive as women are. We just express it differently. You may not mean that in a bad way but you also may be insulting him.
"You go to Dixie State College? I HATED it there"
Some guys are very proud of the college they go to. Even though you're not saying that the college sucks, you're insulting the guy's school. He's going into some serious debt or paying a lot of money to go to this college so he likely will take that statement as an insult.
"How good of a job do you think our President is doing"
Politics and / or religion have no place in a date conversation unless it was politics or religion that brought you together. There's so much political heat lately in the USA that talking about politics will almost certainly rub someone the wrong way.
Now some of those statements may seem a bit far fetched but many ladies say things like this on a first or second date. Memorize and avoid these statements and you are likely to have more dates with this guy. Good luck.
